Because the context of the books, and Seth Godin’s way of marketing is still superior to that of what most are use to.

A new philosophy is needed
Most of our brains, instantly jump to shady marketing or spammy techniques when we think of marketing.
This is Marketing offers clear insight in to what it is we need to do in order to appeal to our core audience and the masses.
We essentially need to change the way we think about marketing.
Everyone has their own carefully curated channels
What this is marketing, highlights early on is that everyone has their own channels, via Facebook, and Instagram.
In the old days you could post your ads, everywhere, is the 60’s there were only 3 TV stations, buy ads on two of three of them.
Or at the very least one of them and you were good to go. Especially if it aired during prime time.
Now outside of Facebook and Cambridge analytica selling and using our information against us.
We pretty much have tuned out and learn to ignore all ads we see on our news feed.
Minus the fake viral trends, and trolls, we pretty much have a nice curation of content we want to see.
The Ease of modern ads
The next segments of this is marketing highlights two important facets.
Ads on Youtube, Google, and Facebook are cheaper and easy to run literally in just a few clicks. And you can effortlessly find and target your core audience in a few clicks as well.
If you make a product actually worth selling you can sell it with relative ease.
Ease of use
When creating a product of content, you have to make sure you have the consumers desires in mind and not your own, otherwise, you are wasting everyone’s time, and your money.
I say your money because you will waste money making something and no one will buy it.
Instead remember everything, should be focused around making it easy and worthy of your ideal consumers use.
This is marketing in its truest essence.
Your Target audience
You must cultivate a product and visuals that speak to your target audience.
What problem whether they know they had it of not does this solve?
Does this product create, a need and make them desire your product?
These are important questions to ask yourself.
Build a tribe around your company brand and products. Tribes are people willing to live and die by the sword when it comes to your product.
They are willing to rave about it, and do all the leg work to make it successful. and of course, as long as you continue to innovate and respect your tribe, you will be successful.
